I checked out a Krav Maga
class the other day. It is an Israeli martial arts designed for pure self defense.
There is no sport component for it. I felt like most of it is repeat stuff for me, I have many years of TKD and
Brazilian Jiujitsu
, mixed in with a little Wing Chun and self defense techniques learned from seminars.
I should give it another few classes before I decide it is for me or not. I will say that they take self defense seriously. You can see the bruised on my arm from blocks I was doing.
