Tabata rules for quick fitness

Tabata style workouts are the best way I have discovered to increase ones level of fitness in the shortest amount of time.  Any thoughts or this?  Have you ever tried following a tabata workout?

Return to BJJ

After a several year hiatus I have returned to training in Brazilian jiu jitsu. I started a few weeks ago with only one class a week. With my busy home inspection business it was all I could commit to for now. Things are going well and I have not forgotten much. The muscle memory was still intact. Now to get back in to grappling condition (definitely different from cardio and lifting shape) It will be a fun journey.

Kettle Bells

Purchased a kettle bell the other week used it some trying to learn the proper technique so as to avoid injury.
I bought a 20 pound ball and found it too light but great for a learning weight.

Endomondo Spinning Workout

Bought a stand to hold the bike in place indoors. This way I can get in a workout without stressing my calf muscle.
I have approximately a month till the Warrior Dash. I want to avoid the calf getting injured.

Home workout getting ready for Warrior Dash

Lean Back rows and push up home workout following Tabata protocol.

Right calf still has a knot in it so I am unable to run like I would like to. Warrior dash is approx 5 weeks away. Not being able to run has really stopped training. Ordered a stand for the bike so I can begin working on the legs and endurance without pounding on the road running.
